Deprivation

Our lives are often trapped by worldly standards, where we fail to realize how much time has already slipped away. We frequently use the phrase "too busy." And yes, we are busy—you, me, everyone reading this. Some may even skip this entirely because they’re too busy doing something else. But there are two kinds of busy. One is healthy—when we are engaged in productivity, growth, and self-improvement. The other is unhealthy—where busyness stems from procrastination disguised as effort or an excessive pursuit of perfection. In all its forms, we believe we are achieving a lot. And we are. But when we constantly claim to be too busy, we unknowingly deprive ourselves of the things that truly matter. We pour our time into staying occupied, yet often at the cost of meaningful experiences. Think about it: In our last discussion, we talked about money. If we spend all our time chasing financial success, we might accumulate wealth but miss out on intangible riches—happiness, peace, a...

New Rich is...

The size of each element in the picture represents its perceived value in today's world. Let’s begin with the book in the man's hands. Books symbolize wisdom, yet in our society, wisdom is among the least valued attributes. Next, we have the man holding the book—his size in the image is slightly larger than the book, but still not significant. He represents an individual’s emotions, soul, and the moral fabric of a society—a place where humanity and the courage to stand for the truth should exist. Unfortunately, as depicted in the image, these qualities are undervalued. Lastly, we see the coins, placed at the center, drawing the most attention. They symbolize wealth, which is often equated with freedom. However, this wealth is primarily materialistic, reducing life’s worth to financial status. But before we proceed, we must ask: what truly is wealth? Wealth is not merely money or possessions. True wealth includes wisdom, humanity, and, most importantly, good health. In fact, w...

Ignorance is not Always a Bliss!

We perceive a green plant or curtains set aiside inside a window, made visible by the light. Yet, what lies behind it remains unknown—perhaps because we do not care to look. Outside, we see only the shadows of trees cast upon the glass. This selective vision mirrors our behaviors: we confine ourselves to what is immediately apparent, content with the familiar glow that illuminates just enough. But what if the light could extend beyond? What if we allowed it to reach the entire room? Instead, we choose to remain within the boundaries of what we already see, limiting our perception. This self-imposed restriction keeps us from grasping deeper truths. Like the tree's shadow on the windowpane, partial knowledge can distort reality, even obscuring the very light that once helped us see. So why do we resist illumination? At first glance, one might blame a lack of education. But looking deeper, the issue lies not in knowledge itself but in the mind—our thought processes. It is as if some...

Educated or Wasted through Knowledge?

Education: A Path to Awareness and Action Look at this picture—a classroom with empty chairs. Now, close your eyes and imagine a room full of students. Psychology tells us that our minds focus on what we see, and even when we close our eyes, we tend to visualize the same image. But what if we shift our perception? Isn't this similar to the state of education today? Perhaps we don’t truly understand what it means to be educated. Let’s start with a simple reflection. The word education comes from the Latin educare , meaning “to bring forth” or “to lead out.” In essence, education is about guidance—showing the way forward in life’s many paths. In Urdu, we use the word tarbiyat , and in Arabic, tarbiyah , both of which emphasize structured upbringing and development. Many mistakenly equate education with knowledge , but knowledge is simply the ability to recognize truth. True wisdom is using that knowledge effectively, and education is the process that enables lifelong learning and a...
