Neurobecoming

Have you ever looked back at an old photo or reread something you wrote years ago and thought, Wow, I was a completely different person back then? It’s almost like looking at a stranger. And in a way, you are.

The truth is, you are never the same person twice. Every experience—big or small—shapes you in ways you don’t always notice. The way you see the world, the things you believe, and even the way you react to situations are constantly evolving. And that’s not just a poetic way of looking at life—it’s science!

Life Is Always Reshaping You

Think about it: the version of you reading this right now is slightly different from the version of you five minutes ago. Maybe a sentence here sparked a new thought, or maybe you're just a little more aware of the fact that you’re changing all the time.

Every conversation, every book you read, every challenge you face—they all leave marks. Some experiences nudge you forward, while others shake you up completely. But whether you realize it or not, life is always reshaping you.

Even your brain is on board with this! There’s this incredible thing called neuroplasticity, which means your brain is constantly rewiring itself based on what you experience. So, that means personal growth isn’t just an abstract idea—it’s literally happening inside your head!

Why Resisting Change Holds You Back

Here’s the thing: a lot of people fear change. We cling to who we think we are, even when we’ve outgrown that version of ourselves. Maybe you’ve heard yourself say things like:

“This is just how I am.”

“I’ve always done it this way.”

“I wish things could just go back to normal.”

Sound familiar? It’s okay—we all do it. But the truth is, resisting change won’t stop it from happening. It just makes it harder. Imagine trying to hold onto water—it slips right through your fingers. Life is like that, too. The more you try to keep things the same, the more you struggle.

Instead of fearing change, what if you embraced it? What if, instead of saying “I hate not knowing what’s next,” you said, “I wonder what’s next for me?”

Growth = Self-Awareness

The coolest part of embracing change is that you get to know yourself better. Not just the surface-level stuff, but the deeper, more authentic version of you.

Think about it—how do you really know what you’re capable of if you never let yourself evolve? How do you know what truly matters to you if you never question your beliefs? Growth isn’t just about improvement; it’s about discovering new layers of yourself that you didn’t even know existed.

Want to see this in action? Try this:

  • Read an old journal entry or social media post from years ago. Notice how your thoughts, priorities, or even writing style have changed.
  • Reflect on a challenge that once felt impossible. Would you handle it the same way today? Probably not. That’s growth.
  • Ask yourself, What’s something I used to believe that I no longer do? You’ll be surprised at how much you’ve evolved.

You’re a Work in Progress (And That’s a Good Thing!)

There’s no “final version” of you. No ultimate, perfected self that you’re supposed to reach. And that’s actually a good thing because it means you always have room to explore, learn, and redefine what life means to you.

So, the next time you catch yourself saying, “I wish I could go back to how things were,” remind yourself: you’ve changed for a reason. You’ve outgrown past versions of yourself because you were meant to.

Instead of asking, “Who am I?” try asking, “Who am I becoming?” That’s

 where the real magic happens.

Fasting: A Discipline for the Body, A Feast for the Soul

"Fasting is not just a physical discipline, it can be a spiritual feast." Jentezen Franklin Across different religions and cultures, fasting has remained a common spiritual practice—one of the earliest forms of worship and meditation, a way to connect with the Divine. But why do we fast? How does it affect us psychologically? There is a theory that when a person fasts, their veins contract slightly, regulating blood flow. This balance is believed to help in maintaining overall well-being. But does "blood flow" really matter? And if so, how does it impact us? Consider an electric cooler: if the water supply is too fast or too slow, the system malfunctions. Similarly, fasting helps regulate our bodily functions. The human body is like a machine—it needs a steady but controlled flow of nutrients. When this system is maintained, the soul aligns, bringing mental clarity and emotional stability. Fasting helps us recognize how much nourishment our body truly needs and w...

Unshaken

In turbulent times, it becomes more important than ever to stand rooted in truth, faith, and critical thinking. While emotions often run high and social media floods our screens with half-formed narratives, it is essential to remind ourselves that not everything we hear is grounded in fact. Pakistan, in its current posture, is following a strategy aligned with international law, and this deserves recognition rather than reactionary skepticism. As citizens, our role is not merely to observe but to understand. Rash judgments and panic do not serve national interest—strategic patience does. The country’s institutions, especially the armed forces, are carrying out their duties with responsibility and coordination. There is no place for haste or blind outrage. Instead, this is a moment to reflect, analyze critically, and show maturity as a nation. We are not just a population living within borders—we are Pakistan. Our identity is tied to deep values: faith, unity, and sacrifice. We mu...

Sky Gaze

Have You Ever Seen the Night Sky? Why do we look up at the night sky? Night is dark. And sometimes, life feels just like that—like the weight of the night has settled over you, leaving nothing but darkness in sight. We've all heard it before: "Look for the bright side." But have you ever truly looked? The next time you find yourself gazing up at the night sky, take a moment to really see it. Notice how the brightest stars twinkle where the sky is the darkest. They don’t just exist in the void—they illuminate it. Life, too, has its dark moments. When it feels like the walls are closing in, like the weight of the world is pressing down on you, look up. The sky will remind you of something profound: the universe is vast. The struggles you face, no matter how heavy, are but a small part of something greater. So embrace the darkness, not as a void, but as a backdrop for your own light to shine. Be like that star—radiant, unwavering, and a beacon for others who may also be lost ...
