Commonality: A Path to Change

Almost everyone has been a student at some stage—whether in high school, college, or another learning environment. During that time, we often had a space to relax, discuss, and share ideas beyond our daily routine. It was a place where different opinions coexisted under the same roof. What is Commonality? At its core, commonality means sharing attributes and features. In the context of human nature, we all possess certain similarities. Do We Share the Same Nature? Yes—at least in some aspects. Consider these examples: We may lie for personal gain, yet we are inherently drawn to truth, which fosters trust. We often judge others harshly while expecting love, care, and kindness for ourselves. This duality highlights an uncomfortable truth: hypocrisy is a part of human nature. However, we have the power to change it.
