The Comfort of White Lies

  Have you ever told yourself a small lie—one so subtle that you barely noticed it, yet deep down, you knew the truth? It happens to all of us. We tell ourselves, It’s fine. It’s not a big deal. I’ll deal with it later. These little lies become second nature, woven into our thoughts so seamlessly that we start believing them. There are moments in life when our inner voice whispers, This isn’t right. Yet, we brush it off. We justify our choices, downplay our fears, and avoid uncomfortable truths. Why? Because white lies are easy. They protect us from pain, shield us from judgment, and keep us in a bubble of comfort. But at what cost? The Illusion of White Lies White lies create a false sense of security. They convince us that we’re in control when, in reality, we’re avoiding the truth.
